Out Friday 11th August, “Nostalgia feat. Kaisha & Loelash” is the new single from Brighton-born, Manchester-based producer and DJ El Train. Driven by his signature blend of Hip-Hop, R&B and Electronic beats, “Nostalgia” takes influence from African and South American rhythms, intertwined with soulful sounds. The release follows El Train’s previous LPs ‘Puzzles’ and ‘And Then We Woke Up’, which saw support from the likes of MistaJam, DJ Target, BBC 1Xtra, Huw Stephens, BBC Introducing, Rinse FM, NTS, Clash Magazine, Reprezent Radio and Soulection DJs, and the release of his debut beat tape with Chillhop Music.

Relaxing into the beat-laden groove of “Nostalgia feat. Kaisha & Loelash”, El Train evokes the warmth and ease of a summer evening; the perfect accompaniment to the slow murmur of people sat outside, enjoying a few drinks as the sun sets. The idea of getting Kaisha involved on the track came shortly after El Train created the initial beat. “It’s kind of got a similar vibe to our track “Through The Night”,” he muses. “I sent her the rough demo and a few weeks later I received the vocals in my inbox.” The ease of collaborative energy on “Nostalgia” radiates through the smooth flow of the track and additional saxophone offering from Loelash, which came through towards the end of the writing process and provided the missing part to its sound.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the lyrics for the track, Kaisha adds:

“Nostalgia” is a heartfelt exploration of a cherished memory shared between two individuals who were once deeply connected. It delves into the emotions of longing and the desire to rekindle that special bond, wrapped in a captivating haze of infatuation. The song takes listeners on a journey through the bittersweet moments of reminiscing about the past, evoking a sense of warmth and tenderness.”
